Aloe into the Textile and Apparel IndustryIn different articles, we emphasize the increasing use of aloe into the textil and apparel industry. This article notes a recent product launched in the US market, containing aloe and aimed to consumers with irritated skin. Looking good: Cuddle up underneath By Leigh Grogan - Bee Staff Writer Published 12:00 am PST Wednesday, December 20, 2006 Story appeared in SCENE section, Page E3 What's your underwear made of? We knew that would get your attention. If you're a fan of Cuddl Duds women's underwear, the company has added another winter staple to its line. It's a collection called Skinsations, and it's the first warm-underwear line infused with aloe -- which, as you know, is used to soothe irritated skin. It's still warm and comfortable. But winter is when skin is at its most vulnerable to dryness and itching. Slather on the lotion, yes, but what if what's closest to your skin also is soothing? How does it work? Your own body's movement activates the "micro-capsules" of aloe in the surface of the fabric. In a statement, Colleen Cotter, vice president of product development and marketing, says "Skinsations also single-handedly eliminate the discomfort of two winter maladies: bulky layers and dry, flaky skin." Can't ask much more from your underwear. The line offers camis, long-sleeve V-neck tops and pants in both white and black. The line is priced from $22 to $28 and is available at most department stores. Source Sacbee Lifestyle/Science
