Bovine udder inflammation caused by infectious agents, together with the infertility, is the most important problem of the dairy exploitations. Such situation generates economical losses, because milk production is decreased and in other cases milk can not be used by containing anti-infectious residues.

There is an increasing number of milk producers that are using aloe gel -in an external use- to wash and sanitize the udders of cows with several benefits. The animal keeps a healthy condition and the raw milk to be obtained (then processed by the dairy industry) is optimal into its sanitary condition. In other cases, milk producers are feeding with aloe to the cows -as internal use-, to avoid udder inflammation.
